Employees who support forming a union have legal protections under the National Labor Relations Act. You have the right to join, organize and
support a union and to:
Read, distribute and discuss union literature during non-work times
and in non-work areas.
Talk about the union to co-workers whenever other
non-work talk is allowed.
Ask other employees to support the union, to sign union
support cards/petitions and to attend union meetings during non-work time.
Sign union support cards/petitions requesting your
employer to recognize and bargain with your union and request the National Labor Relations Board to hold a
secret ballot election.
