Virginia lawmakers propose overturning "right-to-work" law. SB32, introduced by State Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy, would make it easier for Virginia workers to form, join, and maintain their unions. 
Studies show workers in "right-to-work" states earn less, have a harder time affording health insurance, and are more likely to die on the job. 
OPEIU President Tyler Turner, and OPEIU Local 2 President, Linda Bridges, wrote to Virginia lawmakers expressing our union's unequivocal support for repealing "right-to-work." 
Repealing “right-to-work” would bring much-needed relief to Virginia families by making it easier for workers to access the myriad of economic, cultural, and social benefits that coincide with union representation.
